Cleansing the Air for Wellness

Updated: Apr 27, 2020

Fresh air is best, and most of us live in less than ideal air quality environments. So, how do we keep our air healthy, and us healthy? First, open up the windows and air out the house as often as possible. If it's too hot or too cold, crack at least a couple of windows open to let the air flow for just a few minutes. I open the windows every chance I get. You'll notice how fresher the air smells and even feels. Fresh air will also affect the mood in your household and for the better!

Another great option is to diffuse essential oils. To cleanse the air of airborne pathogens, and to support your immune and respiratory system, you could diffuse 3-5 drops of these essential oils: OnGuard (Protective Blend), Purify (Cleansing Blend), Melissa (a.k.a. Lemon Balm), or Thyme.

Other oils are helpful in cleansing as well: Oregano, Lemon, Citrus oils or Melaleuca (tea tree oil).

You can diffuse oils to cleanse negativity and uplift mood: Lavender, Lemon, Citrus oils (They uplift mood, and also uplift energy levels), Melissa, Frankincense, Emotional Oils set (*can be purchased separately). Really any oils that make you smile.

There are several diffusers available if you don't have your own. This is a link to a popular one. Larger ones are available.

Another way to cleanse the air, especially for respiratory issues, is to diffuse Breathe (Respiratory Blend) or Peppermint. Or if you have sage, burn sage throughout the house. I like to do that with the windows open. It has been shown to assist with respiratory health. Click to purchase essential oils. You'll want a wholesale account to save 25% off retail. Please Contact Me for personal diffuser suggestions or how to get 25% off.
