Bugs Be Gone: The Best Recipe for a Bug-Free Spring and Summer

Warm weather has finally arrived! I don’t know about you, but warmer temps make me happy. Blue skies and sunshine. . . Oh, how I’ve missed the sun! I have missed being outside.

Normally, Spring is a pretty mild season, with very comfortable temperatures that are extremely enjoyable. We usually don’t have to worry about bug season until late spring or early summer where I live.

BUT we have had a mild winter and the bugs are out in full force on a warm sunny day. We have already seen our fair share of ticks this year. And mosquitos! I fear it might be a bad year for bugs.

Because it has been on my mind, and I have been pulling out my essential oil arsenal to fight these pesky bugs, I thought I would share what I use in my battle of the bugs!

For ticks, mosquitos or any flying insects that may bite, my go-to is the Outdoor Blend, designed specifically for warding off bugs. I have used this blend for a number of years. And IT WORKS!

No, seriously, we live in the woods, in the country. It works! AND it smells nice. AND it is not harmful. It is also family/kid/baby-friendly. No worries about using toxic chemicals to keep the bugs away. It WORKS BETTER than anything I have ever used that was toxic.

Here is how I use Outdoor Blend:

You will need:

One glass spray bottle 20-30 drops of Outdoor Blend Water

Place 20-30 drops into a small glass spray bottle, fill the remainder of the bottle up with water. Spray on clothing and skin every few hours. No bug bites!

I know it works because I am one of those lucky people who can be covered in 50 mosquito bites in a matter of 5 or 10 minutes. Seriously. No exaggeration. If I forget to put mine on, it always happens. But if I do remember – then no bug bites!
